Ever since day one they have welcomed me. On the my first weekend they took me to the waterfall and paid for food so we could have a picnic they also took me to a bunch of temples. It's so nice to come to school and be greeted with a we missed you fah or a where have you been, what have you been doing. All the kids have tried to speak at least one English word to me. One girl doesn't know anything but I love you, so she says it all the time. Today my class went to a different schools sports day and we watched one of our classmates do Muay Thai (Thai Boxing). The girls come up and hug me when I'm on my computer, the boys give me there chair, the two gay guys grab my arm and take me everywhere so do the girls. They all smile and ask about me and how I'm doing. Everyday since I switched hosts they ask me if it is OK at home. After school on my walk to the kindergarten I get a goodbye fah from everyone I see. As I'm typing this a little boy from my hosts class came into the computer lab and tapped my shoulder and said HEY!!! It's so cute how much everyone can love a complete stranger. I will truly miss them when I leave. I have even been invited to an overnight Christmas celebration and a 2 day stay in the famous mountain called Phu Chi Fah with my class for New Year's. I can't wait and am so happy they are so willing to include me in everything.
I love you class, Dacotah Smith
It is so good to hear "joy" in your writing. I believe "you are exactly where you are suppose to be right now". Your class should miss you when you aren't around, you are one of a kind-Dacotah!!! Enjoy the week and I will check on your blog later this week to see what adventures you have had. We ended up with 12 inches of snow this weekend. Looks like a Christmas card outside. I'm having coffee with your mom on Tuesday. Love, Linda
