On the bus ride to Chiang Mai today, we went through a few minutes where the sky turned completely black and it started pouring rain. It rained so hard that some how it leaked through the top of the bus and I also got wet. It was quite an experience and then it just stopped as suddenly as it started! Once I got into the city I went to drop my bags off at my friends house and then we went downtown. We were just walking around the town when we got splashed, the water fight has started. We were just walking and got squirted in the face and then on the taxi ride home I got a bucket of water thrown on me in the taxi.This Thai lady scooted further from the back of the taxi and before I had time to react I got a bucket of water thrown at me by a foreigner. Finally we came home and cooled down and then went back out to the Mall for dinner. On the walk home two HUGE rats came out of the sewer and we ended up running the whole way home screaming and freaking out. Needless to say today was quite an exciting day. Tomorrow we are going to buy squirt guns and go downtown by the canals and throw water!
