Today is day two of Songkran and it is AMAZING! We basically just walk outside my friends house to the canals, about a 10 minute walk and there the streets are full of people. We get splashed all day by ice water and canal water. We were also armed with buckets so we do our fair share of splashing. We just walk up and down the canals all day and have a water fight! Yesterday we went out too early and ended up getting lost and took a taxi back that took one and half hours. The streets are packed, trucks aren't moving. The backs of the pick-ups are full of people dancing and throwing water. It is so much fun. I don't even have words to describe how fun it was but also how tired I am and how bad my feet ache right now. Tomorrow is the last day and will definitely be the best day!
