Celebration of The Full Moon

Last night we went to the Chinese Temple in town and had a dinner sponsored by Rotary. There were over a hundred tables and we were served 11 dishes. They had karaoke and were selling lottery tickets and sending the money to charity. Every table had water, pop, sparkling water, and whiskey all included with the meal. It was an interesting set-up. The 11 dishes were some of the strangest and grossest food I have ever seen. I only was able to eat from one of the dishes. It was a cool experience though. Normally they eat the traditional moon cake for dessert which is like a crust with egg and fruit inside, but for some reason they didn't.
As soon as I finish writing this I'm off to KruLiw's house to learn some Thai and some Thai cooking. It should be fun. Hopefully we can talk and get the whole hosting on the weekends thing figured out. I really don't know what I'm going to do over break. I'm bored already and it just started. I'm going to see if I can take the overnight bus to Chiang Mai and see if some of the other exchange students would host me for a week so I can spend time with them and have fun. If this plan doesn't work out I don't know what I will do.

I gotta run and get to KruLiw's House....so until later, Dacotah Smith
