Chiang Mai Night Market

So I have realized that I haven't written in a week and I have a ton to catch up on. Last Wednesday we drove down to Chiang Mai...about four hours and spent the night there before meeting up with other exchange students for a 5 hour drive to orientation. With nothing to do Wednesday night my host mother took me to a Pizza Hut where I tried to enjoy the grossest version of spaghetti I have ever eaten. I guess that is what you get when you try to order Italian from a Pizza Hut in Thailand. After that we walked the night market with tons of things to spend money on. I bought mainly gifts but a bracelet for me. I also found opium incense but decided not to buy it as I don't know if it could be considered a drug. After walking up and down and I was dripping sweat we stopped at a Hagen Dagz and I got a brownie sundae for about 9 dollars. It was crazy expensive but to get a cone with two scoops would be the same my host mother decided this was a major treat since it cost twice the price of our meal at Pizza Hut. All in all it was great... I would love to go back to the night market, but want to wait until I have more money.
